What is the Uniqueness ??
- St. Mary’s Basilica is a spacious gothic Church, designed by a French architect and built in the form of a Cross.
- A beautiful 6 feet statue of Mother Mary holding child Jesus is remarkable.

- The annual Mary Feast happens during September, preparation to the feast 9 days novena is observed, where the holly masses are celebrated, during these days around 5 PM lakhs of people will be gathered to witness the flag post and join in the singing the praise of Mary.
- On the feast day which is 8th of September, people not only from Bangalore but also from all over India will be gathered. In the evening a grand chariot carrying the 6 feet statue of Mother Mary draped in wonderful silk saree along with spectacular illumination and decorations, is carried on the streets of Shivaji nagar and around the locality.
